Danielle Fishel Biography
Danielle Christine Fishel is an American actress, director, model, and television personality. Fishel started her career in theater, featuring in community productions of The Wizard of Oz and Peter Pan. Shortly after, she debuted as an actress, appearing as a guest in shows such as Full House and Harry and the Hendersons. Fishel was cast for the role of Topanga Lawrence on the teen sitcom Boy Meets World in 1993. The show ran on ABC and reprised the role for its successor, Girl Meets World, on Disney Channel.
In August 2008, Fishel began hosting Style Network’s The Dish. She also appears in National Lampoon Presents Dorm Daze, as well as its sequel. She was a spokeswoman for Nutrisystem and is also a resident reporter on PopSugar. She also reports on their spin-off YouTube channel, PopSugar Girls Guide.

She became a math tutor during her university studies and met fellow student Tim Belusko in the process. The couple began dating for over three years and became engaged in May 2012.
They married on October 19, 2013, in Los Angeles. Their wedding was attended by their friends and family members, including Savage and Home Improvement cast member Jonathan Taylor Thomas. The wedding happened in Los Angeles, California. It was reported in May 2016 that she had filed for divorce in 2015. The divorce was final in March 2016.
Toward the end of episode #303 of his podcast Get Up On This on July 4, 2017, Jensen Karp announced that he and Fishel were dating. They were first linked in June 2017 after the Unleashed producer shared a snap of her with a cat via his Instagram page. They got engaged on March 22, 2018, and tied the knot on November 4, 2018.
In an exclusive interview with Us Weekly, she spoke about her wedding plans in October 2018, “I would say that it is medium, and I am going to say that it’s not traditional. I am [on] cloud nine. He is the most amazing partner anybody could ever hope for. And so I’m just thrilled. I’m really looking forward to building a life with him.”
On their first anniversary, Karp wrote, “One year ago today, I married the greatest person on earth. I know people say stuff like that all the time, and it’s hyperbole — but I truly believe she is. She has made every day brighter, every joke funnier, and every hug more comfortable…”
Fishel said in an August 2022 episode of “Pod Meets World,” which she cohosts with Strong and Will Friedle, about crushing on her former co-stars,
“I had a crush on Rider. He was so smart, and … one of my favorite things about Rider — and it continues to this day — Rider is very effusive. He will tell you how he feels, and he’s very free with his compliments, but he doesn’t throw them out willy-nilly. When he compliments you, it is thoughtful, it has meaning, and you can tell it’s coming from a very real place.”
