Emeka Okonkwo was born on February 18, 1981, in Ajegunle, Lagos, Nigeria, and earned the moniker ‘E-Money’ because he began flinging money around and exhibiting what a luxury lifestyle he led. He is even sometimes referred to as Arab Money.

He hails from Amaputu in Uli in Ihiala local government area in Anambra State, Nigeria but resided in Lagos for the most of his childhood, where he finished both his basic and secondary education. He came from a low-income family and was raised therein.

Due to his lavish lifestyle, which may have helped add to his wealth, many could believe he comes from a wealthy and prosperous family, however this is untrue.

He is Kcee’s youngest brother.

E-money is the owner, CEO, and investor of a variety of commercial brands and businesses. He serves as the chief executive officer of Five Star Music, a record company that represents a number of Nigerian artists, such as Harry Song, Skibi, and his older brother, Kcee.

E-money established 5-Star Music in 2010, but the record company didn’t become well-known until they released Kcee’s Limpopo in 2013.

Although Harrysong, who was signed in 2013 but is no longer with the company, was thought to be the brains behind the label’s success by helping with voice coaching, directing, and writing songs, among other things, Kcee is the record label’s most significant musician.

The interview took place at the Police Headquarters Annex, Kam Salem, Obalende, Ikoyi, on the directives of the Inspector General of Police, Mohammed Adamu. On May 12, 2020, the music mogul was interrogated for around six hours by the Inspector-General of Police, Monitoring Department. The Inspector General is claimed to have chastised E-Money after it was discovered that he was treating police escorts like domestic workers.

E-money also serves as the chief executive officer of Emmy Cargoes Shipping Nigeria Ltd, a firm that deals with the clearing, forwarding, and shipping of cargo. In addition, the business offers affordable prices on both new and used American cars.
