American tattoo artist, TV personality, businesswoman, and recording artist Katherine von Drachenberg was born on March 8, 1982, and is better known by her stage name, Kat Von D.

The TLC reality television program LA Ink, which debuted in the US on August 7, 2007, and ran for four seasons, is the reason she is most prominent for her tattoo artistry. Her previous position as CEO of Kat Von D Beauty, now known as KVD Vegan Beauty, is another reason for her celebrity status.

Parents

Her parents, René and Sylvia (née Galeano), were born in Argentina and served as Seventh-day Adventist Church missionaries. They are of German, Italian, Spanish, and Indigenous origin, respectively.

Siblings
