An animated Teddy with splashes and shades of various colours make up the album cover. He seems to have a tunnel vision kind of focus on whatever it is his eyes are glued to. The necklaces, the glasses and bold earring that share the same colour all add style to the colorful mix.

Tracks and Features

“Sleep is Exhausting” is a 6-track EP that opens with “Devil in a Dress” which is a Pop track that touches on love and relationships. The vocalist uses a passionate tone to vividly paint a picture of the dread that comes with the loss or absence of a lover. The instrumentation contained in the track evidently shows how fantastic the beat arrangement is which is great for an opening track. Teddy’s silky vocals pulls the listener in and keeps you glued right till the end of the track. “2 Moods” is next and the Pop/R&B feel of the track gives it this gentle vibe while Teddy sings generally about love, talking about his mood when making love and and when feeling loved. The track’s beat composition is top notch with some superb production to go with. The background vocals and the fading instrumentation also excellently complement the vocalist.

The third track on the project is “Dose” and Teddy’s vocals go right to the moon. As seen with previous tracks, the themes of love and relationship come into play and are largely heard in the lines of the song. He sings of the great effect his lover has on him and how he seemingly cannot get enough doses. He creatively sings of how he feels when she shows him love, admitting she’s stolen his heart. The groovy track has an amazing composition and the tambourine effect in the background add even more beautiful edges to the track’s arrangement. “Someone Who Loved You” is such a terrific track! The chills it gives as well as the messages of unrequited love is quite felt as Teddy sings passionately about heartbreak, losing a lover and the transition from being lovers to strangers. This song is emotionally moving and many will resonate pretty well with it. Also, the guitar chords at intervals, the support background vocals and the general beat arrangement automatically make the song a good listen.

“The Plan” comes next and begins with some percussion and strings arrangement that usher in Teddy’s vocals. He sings about being okay with having feelings that cannot be understood or controlled and seems to encourage going with the flow and really feeling those feelings.

“Hold Me” closes the EP. The ballad-like track is a typical lovers song where Teddy emphasizes on the power of love and how beautiful it feels to experience love. The beautiful track composition gives the EP an emotional close, bringing the serenading listening journey to a lovely end.
