Tauheed K. Epps, born September 12, 1977, is an American rapper known professionally as 2 Chainz (previously Tity Boi). Born and bred in College Park, Georgia, he rose to prominence as half of the Southern hip hop duo Playaz Circle, along with longtime friend and fellow rapper Earl “Dolla Boy” Conyers. The Georgia-based rapper Ludacris’ Disturbing tha Peace label signed the duo, who are best known for their 2007 breakthrough single “Duffle Bag Boy” (with Lil Wayne).

Epps secured a solo album deal with Def Jam Recordings, a Universal Music Group imprint, in February 2012. On August 14, 2012, he released his debut studio album Based on a T.R.U. Story, which was met with commercial success despite mixed reviews. Epps would go on to release seven albums until leaving Def Jam in 2022. Epps started working with Viceland on a show called Most Expensive, which premiered on November 15, 2017 and ran for three seasons.

Restaurant

Escobar, a tapas bar in Atlanta that first welcomed customers in 2016, is 2 Chainz’s project and evidence of his sophisticated taste. The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports that DePhon R. Robinson, a former celebrity personal chef who has worked for people including Queen Latifah, Olympic runner Carl Lewis, and Gabriel Union, was hired by 2 Chainz.

Crab cakes, collard greens, lobster tail, and hot chicken sliders are just a few of the typical soul cuisine dishes that are mixed in with the tapas on the menu. In Atlanta’s Castlberry Hill area, Escobar is currently open. But over the years, other branches have popped up in different cities, turning it into a franchise.

Chainz and his business partner Michael “Snoop” Dillard launched the venture. However, the restaurant was once known as Escobar before the family of the late Colombian drug lord Pablo Escobar sued it, leading to the name change, “Esco Restaurant & Tapas.”
