Glorilla Biography

Glorilla, Yours Truly, Artists, June 17, 2024

Gloria Woods was born on July 28, 1999, in the Tennessee city of Memphis. She attended Martin Luther King College Prep High School after being homeschooled until the fifth grade. When she was 16 years old, she began rapping. Woods intended to be a singer when she was younger because she sang in her church’s choir. However, when she lost her voice, she changed her mind and started rapping. The stage moniker “Big Glo” was another option she considered. Her stage name was created with the assistance of her cousin. She is the eighth of 10 children born on her mother’s side.

After releasing “F.N.F. (Let’s Go)” (featuring Hitkidd), a song that was nominated for Best Rap Performance at the 65th Annual Grammy Awards, she gained notoriety. On the Billboard Hot 100, her song “Tomorrow 2″—featuring Cardi B—made it to the top ten.
