Another Balogun Market Fire : Shops Destroyed As Fire Breaks Out

On Lagos Island, a five-story structure at Gbajumo Street, Balogun, was destroyed by fire. According to reports, the fire began on Thursday at almost midnight. According to Margaret Adeseye, director of the Lagos State Fire and Rescue Service, the structure’s second floor was where the fire originated.

Adeseye stated, “A significant fire outbreak is now being attended to by the Lagos State Fire and Rescue Service at 3/5 Gbajumo Street, Italian Plaza, Balogun, Lagos Island. “The fire department was alerted to a fire disaster at a structure used for warehouses and retailers with numerous containerized shops on Lagos Island at 23:54 hours. “While Alausa was on the site, two fire crews from the Ebute Elefun and Oniru were quickly mobilized.”
