General Elections: Tinubu Makes Disparaging Remarks, Gaffe On Atiku And The PDP Mandate

Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, the APC’s presidential candidate, said yesterday that he “rescued” Atiku Abubakar, the PDP’s presidential candidate, from former president Olusegun Obasanjo.

This occurred when the Akwa Ibom State chapter of the APC gave assurances that they would support Tinubu in the presidential election on February 25.

At the party’s presidential rally, Tinubu claimed that Abubakar and his group lacked anything more than “stomach infrastructure” and were speaking at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium in Uyo.

“They only have ice cream; they don’t have a mandate. It’s melted now. When I intervened to save him from Obasanjo, he was being prepared to be roasted like goat meat.

“He fled to Dubai and returned for the stomach infrastructure when the election was held again. He arrived in Lagos. He received a ticket after we helped him get better, but he spent it and used it to make money.

“He confronted Buhari and Obasanjo and lost. With Jonathan, he failed. He struggled in every subject.

“You best keep an eye on him before he starts offering the remaining miniature palm trees for sale. What we must do is advance our nation. The gas reserves in our country are sufficient.” He said.

Meanwhile, the PDP campaign committee has come out to say that the allegations and gaffes put forward by Tinubu are no longer jokes and against the ethics of modern-day politicking and may require them to take legal action against him.

Tinubu will be contesting for the Number position in the country with PDP’s Atiku and the People’s Favorite, Labour Party’s Peter Obi.
