The world is one vast, intriguing space, with equal supply of the beautiful and the ugly. Yes, there are as much beautiful people as there are ugly ones. But since, as Wilde said, a thing of beauty is a joy forever, the world is mostly focused on the beautiful.

But now and then, attention swerves to the ugly people, most of whom are seen a novelties, pieces of curiosities to be observed for a laughs, questions, or introspection.

Of course, while there are ugly people, are those who are said to be way uglier, so they appear to be in a world of their own in their ugliness. This post brings you some of the people considered the ugliest in the world.

Interestingly, some of the ugliest people in the world were not born that way. They were merely the products of ambitious body modifications.

At cursorily look at them and you would realize these are not people you not want to encounter accidentally in the middle of the night –that is, without prior information that you are going to meet them.

For one, you might assume you have into a ghost or devil and likely flee in terror. That’s how wildly ambitious some of the body modifications that turned hitherto beautiful people into ugly peeps are.

Now comes the list of the 10 ugliest people in the world – given in no particular order.

1. Dennis Avner

Many consider him the ugliest man in the world, but we are not putting him on that in this list, Still he stands out for his ugliness and even revels in it – after all, he was not born ugly. Ghastly tattoo- modifications made him who he is today.

Avner wasn’t born the way he currently look. He’s a body modification enthusiast who preferred the looks of a cat and modified his body to fulfill that fantasy. Today he is know by nicknames such as Cat or Cat Man.

2. Zombie Boy

The name is scary and so is the bloke who decided to adopt it. It might be said that the name is actually apt because Zombie Boy actually looks like some zombie from a book. Mentally, of course, he is not one – except you want to be unkind.

Zombie Boy is tattooed all over his body, which gives him the look of his name – a scary-looking figure any day.

3. Tome Leppard (The Leopard Man of Skye)

He has a thing for Cheetahs, so why no exemplify that love by transforming himself into a “cheetah” of sorts? Well, that was what Tom Leppard did. About 99 per cent of his body is covered in tattoos in the design of a cheetah and he is more likely to be found on all fours as he imitates the same animal. He’s now late but still carries the toga of one of the world’s ugliest people.

4. Elaine Davidson

Elaine Davidson is another top contender in the ugliest list. Again, she wasn’t born ugly or whatever. But her obsession with piercings has transformed her into something else. Her face is riddled with piercings and in all she is said to bear about 3 kilos of piercings all over her body.

5. Eric  Sprague

Often called the lizard man because of his obsession with with reptiles and the transformation of his body to ape the same via tattoos and modifications, Eric has a body covered in tattoos, a forked tongue and other modifications that make him look like a human reptile.

6. Julia Gnuse

Hers is one instance where it might be said that live played a joke on one. She was born with Porphyria, a congenital skin diseases. . To covet her affliction, she opted for tattoos, becoming one of the most tattooed women in the world. Her looks are so modified that she is currently considered one of the ugliest in the world.

7. Etienne Dumont

This French literary critic is often called a Bull Man because of his resemblance to the animal. His body has been radically modified, giving him the appearance of a bull – hence the name. He ha silicone implants under the skin, a well as five-centimeter ring in his ear canal.

8. Kala Kaiwi

As much as 75 per cent of Kala Kaiwi’s body is covered in tattoos. Much of his face is pierced as well, with silicone hillock on his forehead. He looks all shades of scary.

9. Lucky Diamond Rich

Many often consider him to be the ugliest man in the world because of the massive tattoos all over his body that has made him almost unrecognizable from the person he used to be. From his teeth down to his body, Diamond Rich has everything modified. He once held the record for the world’s most tattooed man but insists he is no different from anyone else.

10. Godfrey Baguma

He is a Ugandan comedian who suffers from a disease called Fibrodysplasia. The disease caused his head to swell and ultimately disfigured his face, making him one of the ugliest people in the world. Thankfully, he says it does not cause him any pain.
