“American Dream” By 21 Savage Projected To Debut At Number 1 On The Billboard 200 Chart

With at least 130,000 copies sold, 21 Savage’s “American Dream” is anticipated to reach a significant album milestone by topping the Billboard 200 rankings this week.

According to Hits Daily Double, this accomplishment will result in the UK native having his fourth No. 1 album in the charts. As of this writing, the official figures are still being projected; they will be made public late on Sunday, January 14.

In addition, all fifteen tracks from the album placed in Apple Music’s Top 20 when it officially debuted on Friday (January 12). Reviews for Savage’s much anticipated follow-up to 2018’s “i am > i was” have also been positive. The cynical nihilism of his breakout joint mixtape with Metro Boomin, “Savage Mode” seemed to have virtually vanished from his new project, and even the triumph lap theatrics of “i am > i was” aren’t exactly there.

As opposed to the somewhat unnecessary gimmicks as on the “Issa Album” or “Savage Mode II”, “American Dream” shows 21 Savage at his most personal, viewing his life and career from a 30,000-foot perspective and treating the recording studio like a journal.

Savage knows his worth and isn’t angry about his most recent offers, but his family has worked too hard and too long for him to make a mistake or be taken advantage of.
