Anthony Joshua Explains Why He Still Lives With His Mom At 34

The well-known British-Nigerian professional boxer Anthony Joshua provided insight why, at 34, he still resides with his mother. After defeating Wladimir Klitschko and winning £15 million, Anthony Joshua went back to his mother’s two-bedroom former government apartment back in 2017.

Joshua discussed his closeness to his family and said that he would be difficult to persuade to move away from his mother’s house in his most recent conversation with Louis Theroux. In the latest episode of BBC’s Louis Theroux Interviews, Joshua—a two-time world heavyweight champion—discussed his background, boxing career, and future aspirations.

In the course of the interview, AJ also showed Theroux his scars after he informed him about the crazy brawl he had in the street with about six guys. Furthermore, AJ talked about his work no longer being as “fun” as it used to, and his drug use era as a youngling in London.

Taking center stage of their conversation was Joshua’s points victory over Jermaine Franklin in April, when the British fighter was only recovering from two straight defeats to Oleksandr Usyk. Since then, AJ has faced another opponent in the ring. Months ago, in August, the British boxing champ was up against Robert Helenius, another boxer who he defeated.
