Ayra Starr’s “Rush” Hits Huge YouTube Milestone

Ayra Starr, the remarkable Nigerian singer, has once again created history on YouTube.

When “Rush” went live in 2022, it immediately gained popularity both domestically and abroad. ‘Rush’ peaked at number one on the TurnTable Top 100 in Nigeria. It peaked at No. 5 in France after charting in a number of foreign nations, including South Africa, Hungary, Ireland, Canada, Lebanon, Belgium, and the Netherlands.

Ayra Starr became the first Nigerian lead female artist to make an appearance on the chart when it also charted on the UK Singles Chart. The song’s high YouTube rating, which ranks it among the most viewed Nigerian music videos on the platform, attests to its enormous success.

Ayra Starr is getting all set for the 2024 Grammy Awards, where her blockbuster song is one of the nominees for the first-ever Best African Song Performance, along with hit songs by Davido, Burna Boy, and fellow Nigerian superstars Asake & Olamide.
