Bella Shmurda Reveals His New Studio Projects Are Tributes To The Late Mohbad

Cherished Nigerian singer, Bella Shmurda, has revealed two new musical endeavors that are devoted to his late friend and fellow musician Mohbad, who departed in September 2023. In an interview with Capital Xtra Radio, he made this announcement, saying that the album would be released on the anniversary of Mohbad’s passing one year after the EP.

The first project, dubbed Road To September 12th, is an EP that will be released in advance of the full-length album that will be released on September 12th. Although there aren’t many specifics regarding the music, the project’s date and dedication imply that it will probably be another homage to Mohbad, maybe with themes and lyrics that are profound and represent their loss and relationship.

In addition to doing sold-out performances in London and Ibadan, Bella Shmurda just dropped a new song called “If They Are Real” featuring rapper Vector. The artist has been a vocal opponent of bullying and a proponent of widespread mental health awareness. The publication of these projects, which promise to be a musical offering as well as an emotional memorial to Mohbad, is highly anticipated by fans of both artists.

Bella Shmurda seems ready to make music that strikes a chord with his listeners, and Mohbad is a major source of inspiration.
