Black Sherif Comments On Ghana’s AFCON Defeat
Ghanaian rapper and musician Black Sherif, better known as Blacko, responded to the country’s second-round loss in the AFCON 2023 on social media.
Surprisingly, the Black Stars of Ghana were unfazed by their defeat to Cape Verde on January 14, 2024, and they went on to play Mozambique on January 22, 2024. Black Sherif posted memes during the game that sparked a lot of responses from Ghanaians.

In reference to Mozambique’s 4:0 thumping of the Black Stars, he also uploaded another meme with the description “embarrassing.”

Many fans expressed similar reactions in their comments, and some even suggested that he write a diss tune for the Black Stars.
Ghana gave up two goals in stoppage time, losing a two-goal lead to draw with Mozambique and virtually surely losing the Africa Cup of Nations. Thanks to two penalties from Jordan Ayew, one in each half, the Black Stars appeared to be coasting into the round of 16.
However, 91 minutes later, Geny Catamo equalized from the penalty spot, and then Reinildo Mandava’s header crushed Ghanaian hearts. Ghana needs a miracle to advance as one of the four best third-placed teams, while Mozambique finishes last in Group B.
