Charli XCX Shares New Single “Von Dutch” And Reveals Summer Release Date For “Brat,” Her Sixth Album

Iconic British singer, Charli XCX, has made a triumphant comeback with the release of her brand-new single “Von Dutch” and the news that her upcoming album “Brat” will be out this summer.

The pop sensation uses “Von Dutch,” which she unveiled with a music video, to tap into her PC Music past. In the Torso-directed video, she commandeers the Charles de Gaulle airport in Paris, causing mayhem as she heads aboard a plane and arrives at baggage claim, where she circles the conveyor belt like a piece of luggage.

“Von Dutch,” produced by Easyfun, is her first single since “Speed Drive,” which was featured on the soundtrack for the movie Barbie.Arriving in March 2022, her last album, “Crash,” was a galactic reflection on what it meant to be a pop star.

With “Good Ones” leading the way and succeeding singles “New Shapes” and “Beg for You,” “Crash” was presented as a more traditional homage to pop music, in contrast to the albums “Pop 2” and “How I’m Feeling Now.” The singer announced “Brat,” her sixth album, ahead of “Von Dutch.”

The LP is scheduled for release in the summer but has no set date as of yet. “Brat” has 15 songs with a duration of 41 minutes and 23 seconds. Charli herself refers to it as a “club record.”
