Charly Boy Catches Heat For Bullying Mercy Isoyip After She Fumbled Her National Anthem Rendition

Actress Mercy Isoyip has come under fire from Nigerian activist Charly Boy for allegedly intimidating her after she mispronounced the National Anthem. Dressed in a police uniform, the actress and singer sang the National Anthem during this week’s Conference and Retreat for Senior Police Officers in Imo State.

She did, however, provide a poor performance, skipping out on a few lines. She eventually rendered an apology to the public, stating that she is an actress and singer and not a police officer. Explaining her selection, Charly Boy, on his Instagram, alleged that Mercy had to be a big man’s side chick.

He went on to say that because the actress was familiar with one of the top guys, she had to be a “side chick.” One who came to humiliate herself in public.
