Charly Boy Slams Muslim Youths For Destroying Davido’s Photo

After denouncing the conduct of some Northern Youth who were filmed burning Davido’s banner, Nigerian veteran entertainer Charly Boy has now come out in support of the afrobeat star. The video, which has gone viral on social media, shows several northern youngsters hurling insults at the singer while also burning his photos.

That, however, did not sit well with “Areafada,” as he is affectionately known.

Charly went on a Twitter rant, asking the enraged Muslim teenagers if burning Davido’s picture would change their lives or end poverty in the North. Davido has been under fire for a video he shared of a short song piece in which some people are dressed as praying Muslims, which has enraged some sections of the Muslim faithful.

Despite the fact that the video has been removed and Davido has not spoken on the matter, some Islamic clergy have demanded that the afrobeat musician apologize. Wole Soyinka was the first to publicly condemn any apology, and now Charly Boy has condemned the behavior of the northern youngsters, advising them to go to court if they are hurt.

Charly Boy has also recently announced on Twitter that he will go nude from one end of Bourdillon to the other to celebrate the announcement of Peter Obi’s win at the election tribunal.
