Chris Brown Clarifies If Bow Wow Or Juelz Santana Was Supposed To Be On “Run It”

As Chris Brown promotes his upcoming album, it’s all Breezy all week. Chris Brown’s project is set to drop on Friday (June 24), therefore the globe has been bombarded with Chris Brown news in recent weeks. Brown has made an incredible cameo on Drink Champs to boost the buzz, and during his time on the Revolt series, he debunked a myth regarding Bow Wow and Juelz Santana.

The 2005 Santana-assisted ballad “Run It” has gone on to become one of Brown’s best singles and a classic in his discography, but Bow Wow claimed during his Verzuz with Soulja Boy that he was supposed to be on the tune instead of the Dipset star.

When Santana returned to Drink Champs later, he reiterated Bow’s claim, but said he was totally ignorant of any other musicians who had first dibs. Noreaga urged Chris Brown to clear the air once and for all concerning Sean Garrett’s song, which was produced by Scott Storch.

“So, you know, Shad is my brother, man,” Brown said with a smile. “But Shad be cap sometimes. But I love Shad!”  The entire room burst out laughing. “But when we did ‘Run It,’ it was like, we did ‘Run It’ in Hit Factory in Miami, but I was like 14. They was like, ‘Well, who you want to feature?’ I said, ‘Man, Juelz Santana.'”
