Davido Affirms His Plans To Release A Netflix Documentary

David Adeleke, better known by his stage name Davido, is a famous Nigerian-American musician who recently discussed his upcoming Netflix documentary and twins.

On Saturday, while participating in a panel discussion at UnitedMasters SelectCon 005 in New York, Davido publicly confirmed the birth of his twins for the first time while discussing the history of Afrobeats and his early beginnings with Steve Stoute.

When the artist spoke with a UAE-based outlet in Dubai in May, he made this revelation for the first time. The 30-year-old claimed to be working on a life-focused documentary series. This December, Netflix will launch the David television series.

The musician’s first series, David, will also be the first autobiographical series by a significant modern Nigerian artist. Davido stated in that interview that he wanted to pursue a career in movies in addition to music.

Davido is not wholly unfamiliar with the movie industry. He made a brief appearance as himself in the Hollywood movie Coming 2 America two years ago. Following a protracted break from music that Davido took in the wake of the murder of his son, the Nigerian afrobeats musician made a triumphant return with the release of his 17-track album Timeless on March 31.

The album broke a few milestones, being the highest charting album by an afrobeats artist when it peaked at Number 2 on the US Apple Music Album list. The album has been actively promoted by Davido all over the world.
