Davido Expresses His Emotions After Losing A Few Loved Ones To Death

Despite going through a lot in his life, the Afrobeats heavyweight vocalist displays strength. David Adeleke, better known by his stage name Davido, is an influential Nigerian artist who has talked openly about losing loved ones. The musician and label executive just returned to the music world by introducing his fourth studio album, “Timeless.” However, after losing his kid in 2022, he has avoided social media and the public eye in general.

Speaking on BEAT FM, which rebranded as TIMELESS FM (meant to last for two days) in Davido’s honor, the musician said that despite losing many people in his life—including his mother, best friend, other friends, bodyguard, and finally his son—they have remained by his side. The artist wrote a song on the album called “LCND,” specifically about this reality, pounding home the point that all the people he had lost were legends and that legends never die; thus, they are still a part of him.

Also, in answering the radio host’s question about the penultimate track on the new record, Davido gave away some details on the song, stating it was made two years ago and was, therefore, the oldest track on the new project. He also gave props to Yung Willis, the song’s producer, who he also said was instrumental in crafting the tune, which he dubbed “inspirational.”
