Davido Pays Heartfelt Tribute To The Late Herbert Wigwe, Access Bank CEO

Afrobeats musician Davido has sent his deepest sympathies to the family of Access Bank CEO Herbert Wigwe on his untimely passing.

On February 10, 2024, the former CEO is said to have perished in a helicopter crash close to the Nevada border in California. Wigwe, his wife, and son perished in the collision along with four other people.

Davido revealed his sorrow on social media.

In reaction to the reports, Access Bank said that it does not currently have detailed information about its CEO’s helicopter crash. To get information on the issue, the bank is actively working with US authorities. Many who respected Herbert Wigwe’s extraordinary leadership and dedication to greatness have felt a vacuum in their hearts since his untimely and tragic demise.

Many people in the business world are in grief following the shocking loss of Herbert Wigwe. The late now-former CEO was a major contributor to the development and success of Access Bank in her capacity as CEO. The U.S. Federal Aviation Administration identified the helicopter carrying Wigwe and the other passengers as a Eurocopter EC130. According to accounts, the plane crashed on Friday night close to a border city between Nevada and California on its way to Las Vegas.
