Davido Scheduled To Headline UnitedMasters’ Grammy Weekend Event

David Adeleke, better known by his stage as Davido, is scheduled to perform as the main act at the highly-anticipated UnitedMasters Grammy Weekend Concert despite the recent controversy surrounding him.

Before the 66th Academy Grammy Awards, which will take place on Sunday, February 4th at Crypto Com Arena in Los Angeles, the UnitedMasters music platform will offer a Grammy weekend. At this esteemed occasion, South Africa-based DJ Artist Uncle Waffles and Dominican rapper Tokischa will share the spotlight with Davido.

The Hollywood Palladium will host the concert on Friday, February 2, 2024. Over 2,500 people attended the event last year, including Future, Damson Idris, DJ Khaled, Jay Z and Beyonce, Nas, and Wiz Khalifa. With the release of his comeback album Timeless, which has amassed over a billion plays, Davido’s profile has taken off.

The singer’s new record had elevated his profile and led to a Grammy nomination. Timeless garnered three nominations for Best Album of the Year, Song of the Year, and Best Global Music Album at the 2024 Grammys. Davido had previously declared that he always prays to be awarded a Grammy.

Alongside Burna Boy, Arooj Aftab, Silvana Estrada, Béla Fleck, Falu, and Gaurav Shah, Davido is vying for the title of Best Global Music Performance. He would also compete for the award of Best Global Music Album against Bokante, Susana Baca, Burna Boy, and Shakti.
