Dennis Lloyd Shares The New Single ‘Berlin’

Having exceeded 2 billion streams to date, including a billion + of his global smash ‘Nevermind’, Dennis Lloyd today returns with his brand new single ‘Berlin’. The single represents the start of a new journey for the Israeli musician. After selling over 16,000 tickets over two nights at Menora Mivtachim Arena in Tel Aviv, Dennis then moved with his girlfriend and their three dogs to begin a new life on a small farm in Portugal. Embracing a closer connection with nature, the move also revitalised his songwriting, with ‘Berlin’ the first product of his life change.

‘Berlin’ also represents a strong shift forward in his sound. His instantly addictive songwriting is infused with a vibrant new energy, sourced from a production which stirs elements of bright house beats and alt-pop synths into its shimmering mix. Dennis’s lyrics discuss the desire to break away from your comfort zone and instead embark upon an adventure around the world -something which most of us felt during lockdown. And appropriately enough, Dennis wrote ‘Berlin’ after starting a new voyage of his own.

Dennis says,“I’m very excited to share new music after a long break, I hope this song is going to help you create beautiful memories with the people you love the most. This is the first song that I’ve written since I moved to Portugal. After two years of daydreaming about traveling, I was finally able to do it, and it was so inspiring to discover new landscapes, cultures and languages.”

‘Berlin’ was written and produced entirely byDennis. It was then mastered by the Grammy-nominated Luca Pretolesi, whose credits include J Balvin, Major Lazer and Diplo.

Aside from his Robin Schulz collab ‘Young Right Now’, ‘Berlin’ is the first new music from Dennis since he released his debut album‘Some Days’ in 2021. The record documented Dennis’s life experiences up until that point and he has lived a richer life than most.

Raised in Tel Aviv, he has played music since childhood and attended arts school, but spent his early adulthood in the Israeli Navy. An array of international culture has been a constant influence on Dennis’s music. His breakthrough hit.

‘Nevermind’ was one of 40 songs that he had written while staying in Thailand, and those modest circumstances provided the launch for the huge success that followed: billions of streams, numerous international Platinum certifications, airplay across the USA, Europe, Australia and New Zealand, plus major festival sets such as Coachella and the Governor’s Ball. His world tours also took him across the globe, spanning the USA,Europe and Australia.

He stepped back from that initial success to rediscover who he was as both an artist and a person, and answered those questions with the ‘Some Days’ album. The single ‘The Way’ also showed the diverse locations that Dennis has found himself in. It was initially written alongside its co-producer Kygo during sessions in Las Vegas, but it was only finished when Dennis spent some time exploring the wilderness of the Latin American jungles.
