Don Jazzy, a veteran Nigerian music businessman and head of one of the biggest record companies in Africa, has once again demonstrated his generosity and love of giving back. After responding on Twitter to a University of Uyo final-year student who asked for financial assistance to finish a school project he was working on, Don Baba J, as he is affectionately known, became a trending topic online.
The Twitter user stated he needed 200K for a spotless stage production for his play, which was also his final year project. In addition, he said he would also need 25K naira for his tuition and would appreciate it so much if Don J graced the event of his stage play show. From the guy’s tweet, you’d tell he wasn’t being optimistic, but his arms weren’t stretched out holding out hope. He was, in fact, “tweeting it into existence.”
