Drake’s OVO Unveils New Partnership With Needles, A Japanese Fashion Brand

A new partnership between the renowned Japanese fashion label NEEDLES and Drake’s OVO brand has been announced. The announcement, which was released with information about the inaugural collection, was initially reported by Hype Beast on Friday, March 1.

The butterfly emblem of NEEDLES and the well-known OVO owl, the animal insignia of both firms, will be prominently displayed on the seven-piece capsule. Black and white tracksuits, a mohair cardigan with the words “October’s Very Own” written in block letters, an enormous dark plaid shirt, and many purple t-shirts are among the items that are now on sale.

On March 1, the collection debuted at the Nepenthes Tokyo location. Furthermore, Drake is no stranger to working with Japanese designers; at the opening night of his joint tour with J. Cole, he made headlines with an outfit he designed with a Japanese designer.

Last month, Drizzy performed at his It’s All a Blur — Big As the What? Tour debut at Tampa, Florida’s Amalie Arena. Soon after, followers observed that he was wearing an attire that looked like a dinosaur spine, which sparked a variety of responses on social media.

It was evident who most likely designed the costume when Drizzy posted a photo of Japanese artist Shimoda Masakatsu wearing it on his Instagram Stories shortly after the performance.
