Iyanya Speaks On The Yvonne Nelson Accusations; Says He “Lost 10,000 Followers” As A Result
After his ex-Ghanaian girlfriend, actress Yvonne Nelson, claimed that his infidelity was the cause of their break-up, Nigerian singer Iyanya Onoyom Mbuk, aka Iyanya, revealed that he received several threats. According to media reports, Yvonne claimed in her book “I Am Not Yvonne Nelson” that her relationship with Iyanya ended when she discovered that the singer had an affair with Nollywood actress Tonto Dikeh. Iyanya responded to Yvonne’s claims by stating that the accusations shocked and hurt him. He also mentioned that he had never received any threats before the break-up, making it a distressing experience.
In a recent interview with GHOne TV, Iyanya shared that he experienced distress after being threatened and losing almost 10,000 Ghanaian followers due to Yvonne’s accusations.
“When Yvonne said I broke her heart, I was in my room, and I just saw a post, ‘Iyanya cheated on me. I remember that day, I was looking at my Twitter, and I lost almost 10,000 Ghanaian followers. And I was getting threats and all of that.”
Iyanya has recently clarified his previous tweet concerning his break-up. Apparently, It was just a fleeting moment of frustration, and he now feels uncomfortable discussing his ex’s shortcomings. Moving forward, he has decided to refrain from such discussions and wishes her nothing but the best. He is fully committed to focusing on his music career and making the most of his talents.
