J. Cole & Drake End Dreamville Festival With A Bang, Lil Wayne, 21 Savage, & More Also Appear
This past weekend, J. Cole’s Dreamville label took over with their annual event. Lute, Key Glock, Jessie Reyez, Sean Paul, the City Girls, Ari Lennox, and Lil Durk opened the two-day event. Usher, an R&B superstar, performed as the Saturday headliner. (April 1). He deftly trolled his audience on stage with a joke about Beyoncé making a surprise cameo. Nigerian Stars Burna Boy and Ayra Starr also put on a show at the concert.
On Sunday, April 2, the impressive performances only improved as more artists, including Burna Boy, Baby Tate, Wacka Flocka Flame, Summer Walker, and others, gave it their all. But, of course, the top honcho J. Cole and his friend Drake would show up because it wouldn’t be Dreamville Festival without them. So before the Canadian came out to perform many of the same songs, the former got the audience going with a career-spanning show that included some of his best hits. He started with “Sicko Mode” and later added songs like “Started From The Bottom,” “Know Yourself,” “Nonstop,” and “God’s Plan.”

Drizzy then took a break from his discography to call GloRilla out, who sang her No. 1 song, “F.N.F. (Let’s Go).” However, the parent of one didn’t stop there; he additionally brought in Lil Uzi Vert to energize fans with “XO Tour Llif3” and “Just Wanna Rock.” The Philadelphia musician recently played the latter single at WrestleMania 39 and on The Tonight Show, demonstrating how well-liked it has grown since its 2022 release. After Glo and LUV, Drake invited Lil Wayne to continue the night of revelry.
The Young Money founder, who has a reputation for throwing surprise performances this year, was wildly acclaimed by the audience as was to be anticipated. The final surprise was provided by 21 Savage, a frequent Drake and J. Cole associate gearing up to embark on a tour with Champagne Papi soon.
