JAY-Z’s Roc Nation Teams Up With Versace In New ‘Transformative’ Partnership

JAY-Z has signed an agreement with Roc Nation that is similar to that of Migos, and the entertainment mogul will collaborate with Versace.

Versace characterized the agreement as a “transformative multi-year partnership” in a series of Instagram postings on Friday, February 9. The alliance will encompass a variety of activities, from high-profile event sponsorship to cause-focused project assistance.

The latter involves, first and foremost, Versace’s sponsorship of a Super Bowl party hosted by Roc Nation Sports, the business’s sports management arm, on Friday.

Support for the Roc Nation School of Music, Sports & Entertainment, a Long Island University program that provides courses in entrepreneurship, music technology, sports administration, and other subjects, will be one of the “cause-focused initiatives.”

Given that Roc Nation and the NFL have been partners for many years, it is not surprising that this new alliance would kick off with a Super Bowl-related event. In order to support the league’s social justice initiatives and strengthen its ties within the music business, the corporation inked an agreement with them back in 2019.

From that point on, Roc Nation has functioned as the NFL’s “live music entertainment strategist,” offering advisory services for events like the Super Bowl halftime show. Hov’s collaboration with the NFL took place after he declined the league’s offer to appear at the Super Bowl LII halftime show.
