Jay-Z New Album Announcement Surprises Roc Nation And Fans

Over the weekend, reports started circulating on social media that Jay-Z is releasing a new album in 2024. The rumours began after a director named Hidji World posted on Instagram Stories, implying that he was on set with the rapper. Hidji World shared a message in one of his stories, indicating that he was “shooting today” with Jay-Z. In another, he teased a photo of a first-take film slate labelled “JAY Z -2024 ALBUM,” with his name written in as the director and Leroy Farrell’s name as the director of photography. The slate alluding to new Jay-Z music was dated January 28th, 2024.

As rumours of an alleged new Jay-Z album began to spread, Roc Nation (Jay-Z’s entertainment company) responded to a post on X (formerly Twitter), which reported, “A NEW JAY-Z ALBUM IS BEING TEASED FOR 2024.” Roc Nation replied, “That’s news to us,” on Sunday.

Jay-Z’s last full-length solo album was 2017’s “4:44,” which debuted for two weeks at No. 1 on the Billboard 200. In 2018, he released “Everything Is Love” with Beyoncé as The Carters, their first joint set. This could be exciting news for Jay-Z fans if Hidji World’s Instagram stories are true. However, as Roc Nation has stated that they do not know about this new album, it is still uncertain whether this is happening. Fans must wait to see if Jay-Z confirms or denies this rumour.
