JT Needs Fans Help In Promoting Single Following TikTok & UMG Dispute

Universal Music Group’s decision to pull its music from TikTok, a popular social media platform for music promotion, has shaken the music industry. However, JT, the City Girl turned solo star, has devised a plan to overcome the algorithm’s muting of her music on TikTok. She recently announced her upcoming single, “Okay,” which is expected to appear on her forthcoming mixtape, City Cinderella. Despite being with UMG, she doesn’t plan on letting the algorithm mute the song and get in the way of her success. JT shared her plan on Twitter, urging social media users to pre-save her song and spread distorted versions across TikTok. She explained that TikTok would be muted once the song was out, so she wanted to create a distorted sound to spread the word about the music before its official release. She even shared a distorted-sound version on her TikTok that anyone can use to promote the music.

“Okay” is now available for pre-save, and fans are eagerly waiting to hear the full version, hoping it becomes another hit for JT. In addition to the new single, JT still has a few dates left on her first-ever headlining solo tour, which includes stops in West Palm Beach, Baltimore, New York, and more in the coming weeks. Although she faced criticism for choosing venues on the tour, she joked with the crowd at one of her shows that she hasn’t had a “wack cookout” yet and seems to be taking it all in stride. JT’s fans are excited about her upcoming mixtape, City Cinderella, which is set to be released soon. The mixtape is expected to be a major highlight of her career, and fans anticipate that it will further establish JT as an independent artist. Despite the challenges posed by the industry, JT’s creativity and dedication show that she’s committed to making music that connects with her fans and resonates with audiences.
