K-Pop Stars Seventeen Debut New Ballad ‘The Meaning Of Meeting’ In Macao

Seventeen, a popular K-pop boy band, gave their fans a delightful surprise during their two-night live performance at Macao’s Olympic Sports Center Stadium on Sunday, January 21. The band debuted a brand-new song titled “The Meaning of Meeting,” which left their fans swooning. It was a sentimental and romantic ballad that perfectly showcased their vocal skills and emotional range. After the performance, the song was released as a standalone digital single on Chinese music streaming platforms, quickly becoming a massive hit among their fans. This marks the first time the group has released an original song in Mandarin, a significant milestone in their career. Previously, the 13-member group had only released Chinese versions of their Korean singles, such as “Home” and “Highlight.”

The band also shared a video of their performance from the Macao show, which featured their members sitting atop a large rectangular video display. In contrast, the enormous screen behind them displayed a pastel moon and clouds bisected by shooting stars. The video was a visual masterpiece that enhanced the emotional impact of the song and showcased the band’s creativity and visual aesthetics. Seventeen released their 10th EP, FML, in April 2020, which was critically acclaimed and commercially successful. They followed it up with another EP, Seventeenth Heaven, released in October of the same year. The band has consistently delivered high-quality music and performances, earning them a loyal fan base worldwide.
