Drake Elevates Young Thug Loyalty In Brand-New “For All The Dogs” Snippet

Drake is already one of Young Thug’s biggest supporters in the rap game, but on a new song from his upcoming album For All the Dogs, he declares his unwavering support for the imprisoned rapper. A portion of the unreleased song appeared online on Thursday (August 31), and Drizzy could be heard talking about renunciating his freedom in order to join the leader of YSL in prison.

He rhymes over the upbeat, hard-hitting sound, “I should probably be in there with Thug and them.”

Young Thug has been imprisoned since May 2022, when he and 27 other people—including Gunna—were detained as part of a protracted RICO investigation against his YSL (Young Slime Life) clique. Gunna later pleaded his way out of prison, much to the chagrin of his YSL and musical colleagues.

The group is accused by prosecutors in Fulton County, Georgia, of being a “criminal street gang” responsible for a number of violent crimes in the Atlanta region, including murder and armed robbery. Thug himself is accused with eight felonies, including a series of narcotics and firearms offenses, participation in illegal street gang activity, and conspiracy to violate the Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations (RICO) Act.

The judge has repeatedly rejected Thug’s attempts to get out of jail, having denied him bond four times due to worries that he poses a flight risk.
