Kanye West And TY Dolla $ign’s Joint Project ‘Vultures’ Expected Out In January

The release date of Ty Dolla Sign and Kanye West’s joint album “Vultures” has been confirmed by representatives as January 12. Initially scheduled for release on December 15, the contentious record never happened. It was initially expected to be released on October 13 but was postponed to November 3 instead, ostensibly to coincide with a “multi-stadium listening event” that was cancelled. This is the second time it has been delayed.

The joint album by Kanye and Ty has been in the works for some time; in November, Ty revealed to an audience that they had recently begun recording in Saudi Arabia. James Blake, Freddie Gibbs, Playboi Carti, Future, and several other artists are reportedly included on the album, which is scheduled for release under the artist name ¥$. Additionally, it was recently reported that his daughter North would be featured, along with an interpolation of the Backstreet Boys song “Everybody (Backstreet’s Back).”

The two recently encountered difficulties when Nicki Minaj declined to clear her verses on “New Body.” The song was recorded for the album Yandhi several years prior. However, it was eventually cancelled in 2018. Apple Music claims that “New Body” is still included on the “Vultures” tracklist, although it does not mention a Minaj feature. Before “Vultures,” West was involved in several issues. The song’s title alludes to West’s previous anti-Semitic remarks in song form.

Additionally, it was rumoured that at one of the “Vultures” listening parties, West donned a black hood in the Klan’s style. The album’s artwork features a painting by Caspar David Friedrich, a landscape painter known to be one of Adolf Hitler’s favourite artists, whose work was used to promote Nazi ideology. The typography used in the album also bears similarities to that used by the black metal band Burzum, whose frontman, Varg Vikernes, is a convicted murderer and holds far-right and neo-Nazi views. Meanwhile, Kanye West has put his Malibu mansion on the market for $53 million (£41.9 million). He is selling it at a significant loss, despite having wholly gutted the interior.
