Kemi Olunloyo Alleges Naira Marley Is Indebted To Mohbad To The Tune Of 300 Million Naira

The late Nigerian musician Mohbad, according to investigative journalist Kemi Olunloyo, is credited with writing approximately 97% of the songs on the Marlian Music label. In addition, the contentious journalist revealed that Mohbad, whose true name is Ilerioluwa Oladimeji Aloba, had a sizable net worth that was estimated to be at N700 million (around $690,000).

Olunloyo’s research revealed that Mohbad was due a stunning N300 million in music royalties by Naira Marley, the leader of Marlian Music. According to the investigative journalist, Mohbad had issues getting his royalties and streaming income from Naira Marley, which resulted in a tense professional relationship between the two musicians.

Olunloyo also recommended that if Naira Marley pays the debt, a court-appointed probate attorney should take charge of Mohbad’s musical assets. She expected the matter to be the subject of a bitter legal dispute. In order to prove Mohbad’s son’s paternity and establish a trust fund for the benefit of the child, Olunloyo also suggested a DNA test.

Olunloyo suggested moving all of the artist’s assets, including the significant profits made from his final studio effort “BLESSED,” to a trust fund run by his Imolenization team. Olunloyo expressed her mistrust regarding Mohbad’s family members, including his mother, father, and wife.
