Kizz Daniel’s BUGA Has Exceeded 100 Million In YouTube Streams
With his smash song, “Buga,” famous Nigerian musician Kizz Daniel has reached his first 100 million YouTube views. The piece was published in May 2022 and has been popular among young and older adults. He said this is his first 100 million YouTube views and credited God’s grace for his achievement.
According to the artist, the meaning of the song “Buga,” one of the most widely known in the nation at the moment, is to “Show Off” and to honor one’s dedication, hard work, and accomplishment. The song also debuted atop Apple Music’s Top 100 Singles Chart in the most populated country in Africa. But, funnily enough, Kizz never envisioned the song to blow up and become this substantial intercontinental hit. Recently, American radio presenters Charlamagne tha God and Angela Yee spoke with Kizz Daniel during an appearance on Power 105.1 FM’s The Breakfast Club.
In the interview posted on YouTube on August 1, 2021, Kizz Daniel discussed various topics, including his international hit single “Buga” and other issues. Kizz Daniel claims that while recording the song, he never imagined it would go global. However, he acknowledged recording Buga first, then playing it to Tekno, who recorded his part after. In the first half of 2022, Buga was the music people sought the most on Google.
