Earlier in July, Lil Durk, whose real name is Durk Derrick Banks, had to seek medical attention after feeling unwell in Ohio. What was initially thought to be a minor issue turned out to be more serious, leading to his hospitalization. After a week-long stay, he was discharged but was advised against immediate return to the stage.

In a statement to TMZ, Durk expressed his disappointment at not being able to connect with his European fans and attend events like the ESPYs. He mentioned, “I was looking forward to touching all of my European fans, performing this week(end), attending the ESPYs and more but after performing and traveling daily I’ve become severely dehydrated and advised by my doctors not to travel due to exhaustion.”

This health setback has led to the cancellation of several of his performances, including a headlining act at the Rolling Loud festival in Miami. He also had to cancel multiple dates for his “Sorry for the Drought Tour” with artists like Kodak Black, NLE Choppa, and DD Osama. However, Durk remains optimistic, hinting at rescheduled shows and expressing eagerness to get back to business once he’s fully recovered.
