Lizzo Is Devastated By The Death Of Her Pet Dog On Christmas Eve
Lizzo lost a significant family member during the Christmas season; her precious Pooka.
In a series of messages on social media, the singer revealed that her dog, Pooka, died on Christmas Eve at the age of 18. She posted a picture of her family with the deceased dog on Instagram along with the caption, “We will always love you, Pooka Diamanté Jefferson.”
The “About Damn Time” singer also shared a picture of Pooka’s paw print preserved in clay, along with a slideshow of images showing her spending time with the small white dog throughout the years. She added, “I’m not ok, I’m so heartbroken, rip Pooka.”
Lizzo’s longtime friend and “Special” remix collaborator SZA also posted condolences in the Instagram comment area of the photo, joining hundreds of other fans and followers in doing so.
Fortunately, the creator of Yitty managed to find some holiday pleasure despite the loss. Earlier this month, she posted videos and pictures of her intricate Grinch-inspired outfit from a fun dress-up day on social media. In one of the posts, she might have made a hint about her puppy’s potential ailment.
The Houston-based artist has faced several challenges this year, from a legal perspective at least. She was sued in August by a few of her former dancers, who claimed she had toxic working conditions and had engaged in sexual harassment.
