Machine Gun Kelly Has Just Released The Brooding “Taurus” Title Track

The title track from Machine Gun Kelly’s semi-autobiographical 2022 film, Taurus, has been released. In the film, MGK, real name Colson Baker, plays Cole, a gifted but tormented rock singer who spends his days and nights trying to find the motivation to write one last song.

The project explores “the darkness of fame, addiction, the artistic process, and the music industry,” according to a synopsis. The Taurus was co-written by Baker and Tim Sutton. Other actors include Scoot McNairy, Maddie Hasson (Malignant), and MGK’s fiancée Megan Fox (Narcos: Mexico).

The Los Angeles singer-songwriter Naomi Wild, who plays Lena in the movie, contributes vocals to the “Taurus” single. Additionally, earlier this year, Machine Gun Kelly co-starred, co-wrote, and co-directed the movie Good Mourning. NME gave the film a four-star rating and called it “sheer, silly entertainment, perfectly filling the comedy void left by the likes of Seth Rogan and Jonah Hill.”

In other news, MGK recently learned that he has been nominated for a Grammy at the upcoming awards show. The Best Rock Album category includes “Mainstream Sellout,” his sixth and most recent studio album. Later, Machine Gun Kelly lashed out at “rock community” haters who see him as a “tourist” in the genre.
