Ravyn Lenae Brings Her Talent To NPR’s Tiny Desk For A Stellar Performance

On Wednesday, Ravyn Lenae was invited to NPR’s Tiny Desk, where she gave a number of her most well-known songs from her most recent album, Hypnos, a live performance. “Venom,” “Skin Tight,” and “Inside Out,” as well as her 2017 hit, “Sticky,” were among the tracks played by Lenae.

“I think it’s a lifelong journey, learning to love yourself and trust yourself, and believe in the skin you’re in,” Lenae informed the sparse audience while talking about “Inside Out.” “I wrote this song when I wasn’t so sure… that’s why we sing it together.”

With the publication of her first EP, Moon Shoes, in 2015, Lenae launched her career. She later put out two more EPs, Midnight Moonlight and Crush, over a number of years. She went on tour at that time with SZA’s Ctrl Tour and Noname’s Telefone Tour.

Hypnos, the singer’s most recent endeavor, serves as her first studio album. The project, which included collaborative efforts with Monte Booker, Steve Lacy, KAYTRANADA, and others, was released on May 20.

“When you listen to the music, I hope you have a better understanding of me and even catch a better understanding of yourself,” Lenae stated in a press statement following the album’s release, according to Complex. Below is a video of Lenae’s visit on Tiny Desk.
