Morgan Wallen Faces Felony Charges After Disorderly Conduct In Bar

Morgan Wallen, a well-known country singer, was in a precarious situation on Sunday night at Eric Church’s Chief’s Bar in Nashville. He reportedly got unruly when he threw a chair off the bar’s six-story-tall roof. The situation quickly escalated as two police officers stood outside the bar. The chair nearly hit them, and they immediately sprang into action. Several witnesses at the scene identified Wallen as the culprit, and he was charged with three felony counts of reckless endangerment and one misdemeanour count of disorderly conduct, as per Billboard.

This incident is a bad look for Wallen, especially given his controversies on social media. However, it’s not uncommon for drunken incidents to occur at bars, and this could be a valuable lesson to be more cautious in the future. After being arrested around 11 PM, Wallen was released on a $15,250 bond just a few hours later. Wallen’s attorney subsequently released a statement.

An excerpt reads,

“At 10:53p Sunday evening Morgan Wallen was arrested in downtown Nashville for reckless endangerment and disorderly conduct. He is cooperating fully with authorities,”

It remains to be seen how this incident will impact his career, given that he is one of the biggest names in his genre. Wallen will need to take steps to repair his image and reputation, and only time will tell whether or not he will be able to shake this one off.
