Odumodublvck, a Nigerian rapper, has posted on social media to celebrate the news that Declan Rice, his hit song, has seen a significant increase in streams in recent days. Declan Rice, the artist’s inspiration for the song, was signed by Arsenal on Saturday, July 14th for a club-record cost of £105 million from West Ham.

The number of streams for the song has climbed by 605 percent since that fateful day, according to the international streaming service Spotify UK. Odumodu responded to the report on his Twitter profile by reposting it along with a thank-you message and a love emoji.

The Nigerian rapper was seen applauding the new British record signing after the London club’s gesture was covered by the Nigerian media and the football community. Since it was released in March 2023, “Declan Rice” by the Abuja-based musician has become one of the continent’s most popular songs, and Rice himself has professed his love for the tune.

When they first met in London, the rapper and Rice were even seen dancing to the song together. Odumodublvck also offered Rice his congrats and optimism regarding his success at Arsenal in a video posted to his social media accounts.

He characterized Rice as an underdog who is going on a new adventure and is going to achieve great things. We couldn’t agree more.
