Jimin Of BTS Sets New Record For Korean Artists On All Billboard Charts

With his debut album “Face” and its lead single “Like Crazy,” Park Jimin of BTS has broken a previous mark on all Billboard charts. Park Jimin, a vocalist for the biggest boy band BTS, has broken all previous records for Korean solo acts on the Billboard 200 and Hot 100 charts. Furthermore, with his hit song “Like Crazy,” Jimin made history by becoming the first and only Korean solo artist to ever debuted at the top spot on the Billboard Hot 100 list.

The biggest debut on the Billboard 200 albums list was also by Jimin. His solo album “Face” sold more than 100,000 copies in the US alone, breaking the previous mark of RM member who debuted his album “Indigo” at number three. In addition, Jimin’s single “Like Crazy” debuted at number two on the Billboard 200 Songs chart (including/excluding the US).

However, BTS’s success as a group can be directly credited to every member because they have all achieved enormous success as soloists. Amidst the recent changes to the list, BTS is still the only Korean group to have all of its members’ debut songs on the Billboard Hot 100 charts. Other group members posted on social media to commemorate Jimin’s historic occasion.
