Nigerian rapper Phyno chose to mark his birthday by unveiling the music video for his hit track, “Do I”. The video, which was eagerly awaited by fans, radiates an energy that perfectly complements Phyno’s assertive style.

Phyno, the Chief Executive Officer of Penthauze, has a reputation for delivering hits in his native Igbo language, and “Do I” is no exception. On October 9, the rapper, who recently became a father, took to Instagram to share his appreciation for the flood of birthday wishes he received. He also used the platform to announce the release of the “Do I” video, expressing his gratitude and sharing the video link. His post read, “Thank you for all the birthday love!!! DO I VIDEO IS UP AND OUT NOW!!!”

The video’s vibrant visuals were crafted under the direction of Praise Onyeagwalam, better known in the industry as Director Pink. This talented female Nigerian director is no newcomer to the scene. She previously directed the vivid visuals for Naira Marley’s “Abracadabra” remix, which featured Wizkid. With “Do I”, Director Pink has once again showcased her knack for capturing the essence of a song, bringing Phyno’s infectious beat to life with electrifying cinematography.

The video stands out with its edgy aesthetics, predominantly featuring black costumes and dynamic dance routines. This release marks Phyno’s second musical offering in 2023, following his earlier track “Ojemba”, a collaboration with YBNL’s Olamide.

Adding to the excitement, Phyno recently shared a clip of himself in the studio with the renowned Burna Boy. Given that it’s been seven years since their last collaboration, “Link Up” which also featured MI, fans are eagerly speculating about another potential hit from the duo.
