Portable Asks Wizkid And Davido To Show Love To “The Trenches” As He Pleads For A Verse
Nigerian musician Portable, also known as Habeeb Olalomi Oyegbile, has once again made news with a special request for Davido and Wizkid, two of the country’s most prominent singers. Taking to Instagram to respond to Wizkid’s most recent charitable act of giving up-and-coming hypeman Money Gee a 20 million naira present, Portable reminded Nigerians that he was the driving force behind Wizkid’s first resolve to express love to the streets. Portable previously appeared on The Honest Bunch Podcast to support this assertion, asking prominent Afrobeats artists Burna Boy, Davido, and Wizkid to “show love to the trenches.”
Wizkid appears to have responded to Portable’s request, as he sent Money Gee a substantial amount following the viral success of G.O.E.’s song “Big Wizzy (Italawa),” devoted to the Grammy-winning musician.
