Davido’s Aide Isreal DMW Pleads With The Muslim Community Over “Controversial” Video

Isreal DMW, the Nigerian musician Davido’s logistics manager, has formally apologized to the Muslim community for the trending video. It is well-known that Davido has come in for a great deal of heat for releasing the music video for the song “Jaye Lo” by his signee, Logos Olori. The music video featured scenes perceived as disrespectful and offensive to the Muslim community. While other Muslims were depicted below faithfully reciting Solat al-Hadith and dancing, Logos Olori was seen singing and moving during his prayers on a building. Because of the video, Muslims began to boycott Davido on Twitter and even imposed a ban on the public performance of his songs in the northern Nigerian region.

Following complaints about the music video of his new signee, Logos Olori, Davido finally gave in to pressure and removed the song from his social media profiles. Following the most recent Davido development, the Muslims in Maiduguri gathered and began burning a banner bearing the singer’s image, requesting him to apologize formally.

Isreal DMW responded to this by pleading with the Muslim community via his official Instagram page, adding that his boss Davido’s music video was an entertainment effort that was misrepresented. Isreal DMW claimed in the particular apology post that Davido was merely attempting to do what he does best, which is to uplift others. Isreal DMW wrote:
