Prince Harry & Meghan Markle Began Addressing COVID-19 Misinformation To Spotify Earlier

Prince Harry and wife, Meghan Markle, are not happy with what is going on at Spotify, so they are speaking up.

Following the trend of recent events set by some huge artistes that have forced the hands of the streaming service to take down their entire discographies, the royal couple are also seizing the opportunity to let both Spotify and the world know how exactly they feel.

Their grievances take root in the same reason that had artistes like Neil Young, Joni Mitchell, and India Arie request for the removal of their various contents. For a while now, some content containing misguiding news on COVID-19 has been allowed to continue using the services of streaming platform.

The misinformation on COVID-19 could certainly lead to the loss of more lives if not checked and contained on time.

The spokesperson for the royal couple’s Archewell foundation had this to say: “Last April, our co-founders began expressing concerns to our partners at Spotify about the all too real consequences of COVID-19 misinformation on its platform,” the statement continued. “We have continued to express our concerns to Spotify to ensure changes to its platform are made to help address this public health crisis.” We hope the right people are taking notes.
