SchoolBoy Q Reportedly Gets Record Platinum & Gold Plaques; Ready For 2024 Comeback

ScHoolboy Q, an American rapper, has been in the news lately for his anticipated comeback and an upcoming album. The rapper has been away from the music scene for nearly five years and is ready to make a significant comeback. Schoolboy Q has crushed it this year as the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) has awarded new certifications to eight of his singles and one album. On January 3, 2021, four of his songs received gold certificates for the first time, namely “Dope Dealer,” featuring E-40, “CHopstix,” featuring Travis Scott, “What They Want,” featuring 2 Chainz, and his album CrasH Talk. Moreover, two of his songs, “Floating” featuring 21 Savage and “Numb Numb Juice,” both released in 2019, went platinum for the first time. Additionally, his 2014 songs “Studio” and “Man of the Year” both achieved 3x platinum status, while “Collard Greens,” featuring Kendrick Lamar, released in 2015, is now 4x platinum.

In December 2022, ScHoolboy Q attended Top Dawg Entertainment’s 10th annual Christmas toy drive, where he hinted at the release of his first album in nearly five years. He told TMZ he planned something special for 2024, and his fans should expect a comeback. Last summer, ScHoolboy Q previewed his long-awaited album on the Back On Figg podcast. The podcast hosts confirmed that the album would be released “very soon.” However, the exact release date has not been announced yet. The upcoming album is yet to be titled, and it will follow ScHoolboy Q’s 2019 album, CrasH Talk. The album featured several prominent artists such as Travis Scott, 6lack, Ty Dolla $ign, YG, 21 Savage, Kid Cudi, and Lil Baby. CrasH Talk debuted at No. 3 on the Billboard 200, selling 81,000 album-equivalent units in its first week. It was ScHoolboy Q’s third Top 10 album.

Despite the hype, ScHoolboy Q has been unable to deliver on his timeline, leaving fans waiting for the album’s release. He once told fans that the album would be released at the top of 2021, but that did not happen. In April 2022, he released the single “Soccer Dad,” his last music release. ScHoolboy Q’s fans are eagerly waiting for the release of his upcoming album, which is expected to be a significant comeback. However, the exact release date is still unknown, leaving fans wondering when they will hear new music from the rapper.
