Cher’s Son Elijah Addresses Conservatorship Issues; Gives Reasons Why He Is Not In Support
Elijah Blue Allman, Cher’s famous son, is fighting back harder against the conservatorship his renowned mother is attempting to get over his fortune. Elijah and his spouse, Marieangela King, explain, providing fresh court records that media house TMZ obtained, why he does not require his mother to act as a conservator of his estate. He says he is cleaning up his acts and thriving better now. Weeks ago, it was claimed that Cher was worried that her son, who receives money from the trust, may struggle with mental health issues and substance misuse. However, he clarifies that this is untrue. Legendary guitarist Greg Allman, Elijah’s late father, established a trust that was obligated to give him the quarterly payments. Elijah says he’s sober now and pays his expenses.
In the filings, Elijah’s wife goes a step further and claims Cher effectively planned Elijah’s kidnapping and forced him to stay at a recovery centre in Mexico against his will. According to Marieangela’s documents, Elijah was brought to Mexico in October and informed that he would be receiving holistic alternative therapy from a doctor Cher recruited. Nevertheless, she maintains that he was being held against his will in a “makeshift prison-type facility known as the ‘Baja Rehab.’ Cher, on the other hand, has angrily refuted the claims.
The documents also criticize Cher, citing the singer as “categorically unfit to serve” as Elijah’s conservator. According to Marieangela, Cher has told her she is “manic depressive” and doesn’t cook, drive or dress herself. On March 6, a court hearing is scheduled to decide if Cher will be named conservator, despite Elijah explaining why he doesn’t need one.
