Seyi Vibez Credits Runtown For Blossoming Career; Says Star “Inspired Whole Career”

One of the hottest street hop prospects to come out of Nigeria is the Nigerian Afrobeats singer Balogun Afolabi Oluwaloseyi, better known by his stage name Seyi Vibez. He has consistently provided his fans with music, and his output can rival other artists who have worked for years. Recently, he acknowledged that Runtown was among the musicians who encouraged him to pursue a music career. He claimed that Runtown’s distinct style and aptitude for fusing various musical genres profoundly influenced him. Seyi Vibez was inspired to pursue his passion and develop his distinctive sound in the Afrobeats genre after seeing Runtown’s success and influence on the industry.

While hanging out with Runtown and UK-based journalist and podcaster Adesope Olajide, aka Shopsydoo, the “Bullion Van” singer revealed the details. Adesope claimed in a video that appeared online that Runtown was the one who first introduced him to Seyi Vibez’s music four years prior. The rising star replied that the “Mad Over You” singer was his mentor and the driving force behind his career.

Shopsydoo said,

“Let me tell you something that you don’t even know, Runtown was the first person to mention Seyi Vibez to me almost four years ago,”

Seyi Vibez replied,

“That’s why I said he is my OG. The likes of Runtown inspired my whole career, trust me. I swear down.”
