Mr. Eazi Unveils The Musicians Who Inspired His Music Career

Afro singer, Oluwatosin Oluwole Ajibade, better known by his stage name Mr. Eazi, recently talked about the significant influence that Nigerian music icon 2Baba and Jamaican dancehall artist Beenie Man had on his career and musical path. Mr. Eazi gave these famous entertainers credit for encouraging him to experiment with his own creative expression.

He said the phrases from 2Face’s remix of “Nfana Ibaga,” featuring Beenie Man, were the source of inspiration for his catchphrase, “Zagadat.” In a UK interview with Capital Xtra, Mr. Eazi emphasized that, since he didn’t utter the slang in exactly the same way as the song, he didn’t have copyright issues with it.

Mr. Eazi also recently rehashed how the Nigerian comic, I Go Dye, fled with his money. Speaking in an interview with the Afrobeats Intelligence podcast, Mr. Eazi described how the comedian was paid to appear at an event he organized in Ghana, but the comedian did not show up.

Eazi claimed that other performers, including as Sarkodie, turned up even though he had not received full payment from him. The occasion has also been honored by R2Bees. In addition, the singer claimed that until Wande Coal failed to show up for the event, he was unaware that the performer, who was set to play, had not received complete payment.
